Damage Analysis of Chemically Corroded Sandstone Under Cyclic Impacts and Axial Static Pressure

To explore the influence of cyclic impact and axial static pressure on damage chemically corroded sandstone, a series tests were conducted white sandstone by using Split Hopkinson Pressure Bar. Besides, longitudinal sections fractures samples observed with scanning electron microscope for purpose investigating characteristics structural changes subjected to coupling force chemistry. The results show: (1) When pH solution is 7, number impacts stress peaks specimens increases, respond significantly high resistant strength. (2) wave transmission coefficient decreases gradually increase impacts, while reflection shows tendency "decreasing firstly then increasing". (3) Cylindrical certain present an "X" shaped conjugate failure under impact. too large or there excessive impact, undergoes shear state broken cones. (4) vertical section fracture surface degree soaked in sodium sulfate more serious than that solution.
